ENJOY THE MUSIC !

The Concord Farmers Market is one of the oldest in the state, beginning in the summer of 1981 in the parking lot of the New Hampshire Savings Bank, now the Attorney General’s office. The market moved to its current location on Capitol Street next to the State House in 1988.

Tina Larochelle, Chuck and Diane Souther (now of Apple Hill Farm), and Lee Grimes were part of that market. Who would have guessed that the Southers and Tina would still be at the market thirty-one years later?

With about 40 vendors, we have a terrific selection of bakery products, meat, eggs, dairy, fruit, vegetables, fish, honey, and maple products. Many of the vendors are certified organic. We also feature potted plants, cut flowers, wood products, dog treats, and body care products. Do your shopping Saturday mornings at the Concord Farmers Market— Support your local farmer;  BUY LOCAL!

The Keene Music Festival is a gem of the New England area.  Founded twelve years ago, the Keene Music Festival creates opportunities for local, regional, and national musicians to perform in our area.  We also work to connect musicians with musicians and with local venues; with the goal of generating more venues for homegrown music.

About the venue:

The Sumner Knight and Family Memorial Chapel is situated  in Woodland Northeast Division Cemetery. It is said that an unhappy spirit resides in the chapel, and outside resides a spirit of a little girl who has been heard giggling. Most interestingly, it is said that those who use curse words near the chapel will find that they have the taste of soap in their mouth — victims of having their mouth washed out with soap by a disciplinarian spirit.

Song of the Lark is a flute and guitar duo- but not just any duo. Yes, we do play concerts, and calming music for people who need some time to recharge and refresh. We play at venues for groups and also for individuals. Our repertoire is a combination of beautiful original compositions, jazz and world fusion.

This duo is made up of Sue Hurwitz- flutist, professional chamber musician, yoga teacher, and life coach, and Rahel- guitarist, vocalist, therapeutic healthcare musician, and award-winning composer, whose music we perform. The sky's the limit for the venues where we appear-everything from yoga studios, community centers, private homes, schools, and even office settings. Our music is perfect for weddings, occasions, events, festivals and in intimate settings.

JAMPROV - Improv Theater Workshop - 3-5pm
37 Wilton Rd
Milford, NH 03055

603-654-2287
Price: $15 includes evening activities

*"Jamprov"* is an original creation by my longtime friend, Don Slovin. He's
NY based where he is involved in acting, and is part of a few bands. Since
he is coming from NY I want him to have a good turnout. He will be
conducting what he calls an "Improv theater 'boot-camp' workshop" - from
3-5pm -  a 2-hour preparation for the evening performance. It's open to
ages 14 to seniors who have an interest in acting, already act, or would
like to get a first acting experience. It's kind of like a "crash course"
in acting for Improv theater.  Improv theater is fun but needs to be
organized to be successful. So participants will first learn the guidelines
so they can produce a fun performance in the evening. They're invited to
stay for dinner following the workshop (A discount coupon hopes to be
provided from Pizza Top <http://www.pizzatopmilford.com> - with a menu to
suit all needs including vegan & gluten-free!). The evening show is
included in the workshop fee.

We will be presenting an awesome kids/family show in the morning: Kit & Caboodle<http://www.kitcab.weebly.com>. The music is fabulous. The songs were written by me and poet, Betsy Rosenberg. Her lyrics are very special - very motivating - and lend themselves well to a wonderful interaction between singer-actors and the kids who are called upon to participate in so many fun ways. That's at 10:00am.
